We need to learn to respect and take care of nature and to incorporate it into our health plans.
Britt Cordi is the founder of www.LiveWheatgrass.com, and regularly travels around the UK and Europe enthusing others through her talks on how to maintain and improve our health through superfoods.
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your career?
My first love has always been nature and the essential role it plays for our mental, spiritual and physical health.
This passion for health through nature was the reason I studied biology 25 years ago and then went on to do a doctor degree, PhD, in molecular biology and nature conservation. It is also the reason why I am still emerged in combining the best in nature with complimentary medicine.
What’s your most memorable work moment?
All at LiveWheatgrass are passionate about health, and this passion grows even more each time when we make a difference to someone’s health. The most satisfying and rewarding feeling I and my colleagues have is when our customers feel empowered and excited that they are now able to improve their health and realise their own potential.
I remember a particular person who came up to me at a demo in one of the large London health stores. I had advised him several years earlier about his health at a time when he was going through some gruelling medical treatment. To see him there smiling in perfect health was wonderful!
What’s the single biggest challenge in your work?
My passion and one of the biggest challenges we all face is to appreciate just how dependent we are of nature for our wellbeing, health and survival. We need to learn to respect and take care of nature and to incorporate it into our health plans. My challenge is to continue to spread the message to everyone about the healing power of nature and superfoods, including wheatgrass juice for our health and wellbeing.
What’s one emerging trend or research that anyone working in your field should know?
There is a wealth of research about the power of disease prevention through nutrient supplementation. A very powerful way of ensuring we have sufficient nutrients in the right rations is through natural foods. Through juicing and the use of SuperFoods (condensed foods) we can effectively strengthen and shape our health and wellbeing.
What are your top three tips for someone just starting out as a complementary therapist?
1) There are so many fantastic nutritional products available, and companies are now offering new groundbreaking health products, which are potent healers. Find out about these natural foods and products and how to offer them to your clients.
2) A great way of helping your clients is to offer them groundbreaking products, and at the same time make a viable living for yourself, so you can continue to be an effective complimentary therapist.
3) Get familiar with a range of products, how they compliment each other, and how they can benefit your clients. Contact us here at LiveWheatgrass to learn more about how you can collaborate with us.
What are the key points you’ll be covering in your session at this year’s camexpo?
* I will give insight into how we can use SuperFoods (condensed foods) to support and strengthen our health.
* I will make delicious power-packed recipes and reveal how they can improve our health.
* I will also talk about, how through research into stem cells and telomeres, we are now able to introduce groundbreaking new products to our heath care treatments.
* Finally I will talk about our partner programme and how practitioners can collaborate with us at LiveWheatgrass, and will offer these products with generous commission.
In addition to your session, why would you recommend practitioners/therapists visit camexpo 2016?
There are a wealth of skilled practitioners and inspirational leaders at camexpo. It is an excellent place to meet these people, learn about new, effective treatments and products, and also find out how these treatments and products have been reincorporated into their clinics.
