Tell us a bit about your background and what led you into complementary medicine?
I’ve always had a caring nature and a desire to help people realise their optimal state of health on all levels so they feel, and look their best.
What do you love most about your work?
Being multidisciplinary with a science background, I have numerous ways I can help my clients which is very rewarding. From healing acne to relieving stress - it’s great to make a positive difference to someones quality of life.
What’s your most memorable work moment?
Being in the industry over a decade, I’ve had many memorable moments with the work I’ve achieved. Helping relieve clients pain, and getting them feeling and looking their best is truly a gift. This year I’ve started to do TV beauty presenting where I can share my beauty knowledge with viewers.
What’s the single biggest challenge in your work?
Practising what I preach, and to maintain balance in all areas!
What tips and advice would you give someone who is just starting their career in health care/complementary medicine?
Believe in yourself, stay focussed, continue with regular personal and professional development, and get a support network to help you evolve.
How many years have you visited camexpo?
11 years, this will be my 12th!
What was your key highlight/takeaway from camexpo 2014?
I always enjoy listening to Marilyn Glenville seminars as there is a correlation in our work so it’s nice to hear other peers thoughts and findings. Last year I particularly enjoyed Dr Patrick Kingsley’s talk ‘Why Does Cancer Develop’ as it confirmed some of my own thoughts and was able to give me new levels of understanding. Dr Vanya Gant’s seminar ‘Probiotics: an infectious diseases physician’s view’ was also very interesting as probiotics are often part of my treatment with clients.
What are you most looking forward to about camexpo 2015?
I always like to keep up to date with new innovations and research and learn from the seminars as well as catch up with some familiar faces from traders I’ve got to know over the years.
